SCi completes Sleeperz Hotel in Cardiff

SCi have successfully completed the Jura limestone cladding to the 76 bedroom hotel in Cardiff. The building occupies a prominent triangular site between listed buildings on Penarth and Saunders Road, and shares a frontage with Cardiff's main railway station.

The hotel has been designed by Clash Architects for Sleeperz, a new company working in conjunction with Network Rail to develop budget hotels at city centre locations.

The architectural solution unlocks the potential of a difficult site, allowing a dramatic corner building that responds positively to its urban context.

The facades to the hotel comprise pale Jura Beige limestone with a honed surface finish, complementing the tonal character of the adjacent station buildings.
