Services - Health and Safety
We are dedicated to the health, safety and welfare of our employees, and others that may be affected by our actions. We employ a full time, NEBOSH qualified, Health and Safety Manager responsible for all aspects of health, safety, welfare and environmental issues within the company.
Funding is made available to ensure all necessary PPE and training, as well as up to date literature and legislation is made available to all employees.
Documentation
All policy documents, risk assessments, method statements and COSHH assessments etc. are prepared in house. These are then distributed to our managers and operatives responsible for the task at regular toolbox talks, as well as to those affected by our actions. Reports and audits are carried out at regular intervals and the finding monitored and recorded. All documentation is reviewed periodically with steps taken to correct problem areas.
Training
We are currently engaged in a comprehensive training and re-training programme in conjunction with the CITB. Our Safety Manager is also a grant approved training provider for the CITB and delivers regular internal safety courses to various standards. As well as safety training, we are in the process of registering our operatives in the Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) and where necessary, enrolling them on relevant NVQ courses.
