This system is currently being rolled out through the company via a combination of briefings and meetings in order that everyone understands the aims and requirements of the system.
Documentation
The SCi Environmental Management System provides the procedures and processes necessary to make us a responsible organisation who, through a system of continual improvement strives to ensure that our environmental imapct is minimised and managed correctly wherever and whenever required.
Regular audits will be undertaken of the various Head Office based and site based activities in line with the procedures contained within the Environmental Management System; Corrective Actions identified will be implemented and monitored for effectiveness.
Training
Suitable, regular training in matters of Environmental Management will be provided by the company to ensure that competencies required are reached and maintained throughout the company. This training will take the form of prescribed training courses, toolbox talks and in-house developed training courses.
Sub-Contractors
Our Environmental Manager liaises closely with any sub-contractors engaged by SCi to ensure that they comply with the standards expected of them by both ourselves and our clients. All sub-contractors engaged by SCi are subject to a pre-qualification audit; results are recorded and held at Head Office. Trainign, where required, is also provided to ensure that the sub-contractor's labour is suitably qualified and competent.
